Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who sees it, and how to have it removed.
What this covers
The short version
Austin Remodel and Restoration collects two kinds of information: what you type into our contact form, and basic analytics about how people use this website. We use the first to respond to you and do the work, and the second to understand which pages are useful.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the people and services needed to answer your inquiry and perform the work you hire us for.
Section 1
Information you give us
When you submit the project request form on this site, we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The property address the work concerns
- The type of project you selected
- Whatever you write in the description field, including any details you choose to share about damage, insurance, or scheduling
- Whether you marked the request as an emergency
- The page you submitted the form from
If you call or email us instead, we keep the contact details and the substance of that conversation for the same reasons.
Section 2
Information collected automatically
This site uses Google Analytics 4. It sets cookies in your browser and records:
- Pages you view and how long you spend on them
- How you arrived — a search engine, a link, or typing the address directly
- Your device type, browser, and operating system
- An approximate location derived from your IP address, at city level
- Clicks on our phone number, email address, and the submission of the project request form
Google Analytics assigns a random identifier to your browser. We do not attempt to connect that identifier to your name unless you separately submit the form. Google's own handling of this data is governed by its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Our web server also keeps standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested — as nearly all web servers do.
Section 3
How we use it
We use the information to:
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule an inspection or consultation
- Prepare estimates and scopes of work
- Perform the remodeling or restoration work you hire us for
- Document a property loss and communicate with your insurance carrier or adjuster, where you have asked us to assist with a claim
- Send follow-up about your project
- Understand which pages of this site are useful and improve them
- Meet our legal, tax, licensing, and warranty obligations
Section 4
Phone calls, text messages, and email
By submitting the project request form, you agree that Austin Remodel and Restoration may contact you by phone, text message, and email about your project.
- Message frequency varies based on your project and its stage.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any text to opt out of further messages. Reply HELP for help, or call us at (512) 838-4236.
- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
- We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Opting out of text messages does not stop us from calling or emailing you about work already underway.
Section 5
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is needed:
- Service providers that run this website and our email — currently our web host and Google Workspace — which process data on our behalf.
- Google Analytics, for the website measurement described above.
- Subcontractors, suppliers, and specialty trades working on your project, limited to what they need to do their part.
- Insurance carriers, adjusters, and third-party administrators, where you have asked us to help document a claim.
- Government authorities where a permit, inspection, or law requires it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Section 6
How long we keep it
Project records — including estimates, scopes, photos, and correspondence — are kept for as long as needed to perform the work, honor warranties, and satisfy tax, licensing, and insurance requirements. In practice that is several years after a project closes.
Inquiries that never become projects are kept for a shorter period and then discarded. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention setting on our Analytics property.
Section 7
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete information, where we are not required to keep it
- Provide a copy of the information you gave us
- Stop contacting you
Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. To exercise any of them, email office@austinremodelandrestoration.com or call (512) 838-4236. We will respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may contact the Texas Attorney General if you are not satisfied.
To stop analytics collection specifically, you can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works normally either way.
Section 8
Security, children, and other sites
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are encrypted in transit. We limit access to project records to the people who need them. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to sites we do not control, including our Google Business Profile and our affiliated roofing company. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
